传说中可实现持有者一切愿望的宝物——圣杯。而为了得到圣杯的仪式就被称为圣杯戦争。
参加圣杯戦争的7名由圣杯选出的魔术师被称为御主（マスター，英文Master），与7名被称为从者（サーヴァント，英文Servant）的使魔订定契约。他们是由圣杯选择的七位英灵，被分为七个职阶，以使魔的身份被召唤出来。
圣杯承认的使用者只有一个，御主（Master）一定得与七种职业的从者（Servant）之一立下契约，证明自己是有资格拥有圣杯的人。。2018年的某一天，少女们和另一个世界的“自己”相遇了——。 高中生土宫明日架与朋友们隶属“矿石电台研究会”，在一次游戏中，她们效仿都市传说举行了“某个仪式”。不料仪式打开了平行世界，她们踏入了与日常截然不同的领域，新世界的大门就此打开。。This would definitely not have been my kind of movie, but my husband saw it on TV and said it was really good. So, on his recommendation, I bought a copy, since I didn't know if it would ever be on TV again. I had never heard of anybody in it except Armand Assante. At first I had a hard time getting into the story, because the first part of the movie is a jumble of images-- and...。
