吴敏德（钟景辉 饰）和妻子鲁小丽（李司棋 饰）结婚多年，两人感情十分要好。吴敏德是渔护署的顾问，鲁小丽则在身为家庭主妇的同时亦是烹饪学校的教师，两人一个主外一个主内，将家中大大小小的事物平衡的几近完美，鲁小丽也因此得到了女儿吴彩妮（陈法拉 饰）的敬佩，被其称为家中的“皇后”。
