该剧以南州市刑警队长张海抓捕盗车贩牺牲为开端，其妻杜一然（同为警察）隐瞒丈夫死讯并接任队长，带领警队接连侦破盗车案、假钞案、网络赌球案，最终摧毁以邓世杰为首的犯罪集团。。Set in the 1950s in the fictional village of Kembleford, the series follows Roman Catholic priest Father Brown who has a knack for solving crimes. He is assisted by parish secretary Bridgette McCarthy and is often a source of frustration for the local police.。
