Because what about the...。故事发生于六十年代末，何伟是南洋商人，本想在香港搞小生意，但因生活奢华，故很快便将钱花光，此时他认识了波哥，后者忠直又敦厚，可惜刚失了业，意志消沉。何伟见状便鼓励他重新振作，二人成为好朋友。何伟与波哥共同租住一房，大家各谋生计，却竟然同时邂逅家庭教师戴若兰。小萍暗恋波哥，见他对若兰百般殷勤，大为不满。若兰却对何伟钟情，但未能表白心意。何伟知道自己散漫的性格辜负了若兰，决心改过。此时若兰收到外地来信，知道弟弟病重，并藉此试探伟对她的诚意……。
