2008年5月12日，我国四川省发生特大地震。刚刚演习归来的某集团军摩步旅在返回营区途中与上级通讯中断，旅长唐新生果断命令部队赴灾区救援。此时，十万大军响应中央号召，已从四面八方赶往灾区，其中就有唐的妻子——军医魏霁虹。
