篁菜穗（高畑充希饰）是一位热心的美术收藏家，祖父设立了私人美术馆，篁菜穗从祖父那里继承了美术馆的副馆长一职。丈夫一辉（风间俊介饰）也是银座一家画廊的第三代。身怀六甲的菜穗为了躲避东京的喧嚣，在京都长期逗留的过程中，遇到了一幅画。《绿叶》的作者是一位名叫白根树（SUMIRE饰）的不会说话的无名画家。被这幅画深深吸引的菜穗，得知树被在京都画坛具有影响力的画家志村照山（松重丰饰）剥夺了自由，确信她能无声的诉说。菜穗在追寻树的画的过程中，被吸引到一个美丽居民欲望交错的世界，终于找到了可以改变命运的真相。@哦撸马。Thomas and Thomas are going through a rough patch: they are both thirty-something actors living in Paris. They randomly decide to leave the city and fly away to Kullorsuaq, one of the most remote villages of Greenland, where Thomas' father Nathan lives.
