艾米利（张曼玉 饰）曾经是一个音乐节目主持人，她的丈夫行为先锋不羁，是一个过气的摇滚歌星。他们都嗜毒，丈夫还因为吸毒过量而死。而艾米利则被搜出毒品而被判6个月监禁。因为夫妻一直过着不正常的生活，所以儿子被爷爷奶奶领走抚养，想给他一个清洁的成长环境。
