彼时，上海滩由马永贞（何家劲 饰）和白癞痢（陈鸿烈 饰）平分天下，段冷翠（李婉华 饰）在暗中帮助马永贞颇多，虽然她的真实身份是军阀之女，但面对意气风发的马永贞，段冷翠还是动了芳心。
马永贞一直醉心于京剧名伶柳菊池（俞小凡 饰），然而柳菊池却碍于马永贞帮派头目的身份而不愿于其交往。在经历了诸多的风波之后，柳菊池终于放下了对于身份的偏见，正视内心里的感情，和马永贞走到了一起。白癞痢的女儿白小蝶（范冰冰 饰），其真实身份竟然是马永贞失散多年的妹妹，和家人团聚之后，马永贞一行人决定除掉白癞痢，却不知这一决定改变了他们的一生。。When his life is saved in a shootout by a fellow gunman whose life he in turn had saved, Alex Longmire promises to give up his way of life.
