阿秋（黄秋生 饰）曾经是一名训练有素的警察，如今，已经退休的他当起了出租车司机，和儿子东东过着相依为命的生活，尽管辛苦，但充满了温情与快乐。某日，阿秋的前妻突然出现在了他的面前，此时的她已经成为了黑社会大佬赵中天（龙方 饰）的妻子，她此行只有一个目的，那就是将东东从阿秋的身边夺走。
