这部由Jason Jones及Samantha Bee主创的TBS新喜剧《The Detour》，根据他们二自己与家人的经历改篇，讲述一对父母带着两个孩子，驾车去佛罗里达。 Jason Jones自己饰演一个行为会得罪别人的老爸Nate，与妻子Robin（Natalie Zea饰演），带着性格反叛的女儿Delilah（Ashley Gerasimovich饰演）及像笨蛋的儿子Jared（Liam Carroll），驾着家庭车出发去佛罗里达，并认为这会是无与伦比的「大冒险」。然而现实是，他们每经过一处，都会遇上各种灾难般的事情。。Stan and Ollie are charged with delivering the deed to a valuable gold mine to the daughter of a dead prospector.
