年近不惑的永里大介（香取慎吾 饰）在东京一家文具公司工作，他贷款终于在闹市中央一栋高级公寓买了属于自己的房子。拥有诸多高雅爱好的他致力于将这里打造成属于自己的城堡，既不想接纳疏远的父亲，更别提恼人的爱情和聒噪的同事。事与愿违，他的楼上住着某企业时尚单身女性熊谷叶菜子（上 野树里 饰），经常一根筋给永里公司的产品提意见的叶菜子，注定和这位邻居关系不睦。雪上加霜的是，永里的父亲阳三（西田敏行 饰）居然还带着续弦妻子的儿子自顾自住了进来。梦幻城堡垮塌，永里盛怒之下不得不别别扭扭和“入侵者们”相处度日。
