小刘（田青 饰）告诉邓思佳，梁汉华早有未婚妻吴素心（苏凤 饰），但邓思佳不为所动，她和小刘打赌，会在十日之内得到梁汉华的爱。就在邓思佳和梁汉华终于真心相见后，邓思佳的前夫独眼龙（唐迪 饰）半路杀出，惹出了一连串的麻烦连累梁汉华被捕入狱。出狱后的梁汉华决定同邓思佳一起生活，他不允许邓思佳重拾旧业，自己亦找不到工作，生活渐渐陷入了拮据之中。。纽约报纸记者Walter Barnett报道了女演员Angela Merrova死在公寓中的消息,谁知第二天Angela Merrova却活着出现,并决定起诉报社... ...。
