《金装律师》的Jessica Pearson衍生剧正式获预订。USA台宣布预订该剧整季，故事来到芝加哥，将聚焦Gina Torres饰演的强大又有型有款的女律师Pearson。《金装律师》第7季最后一集也是衍生剧的“后门试映集”，这集编剧是本家主创、执行制作人Aaron Korsh和Daniel Arkin。。1991年～1992年まで『マーガレット』で連載されていた、本田恵子による恋と冒険の時代劇漫画が原作。OVAの制作はマッドハウス。時は、町人文化華やかなりし享保の時代――。江戸の遊郭・吉原には、器量はもちろん気風のよさから人気の花魁・薄雲太夫がいた。そして、金髪の盗賊・菊之助との出会いから、薄雲の運命が変わり始める……。実は彼女は、改宗したキリシタンである遊女の母と、時の将軍・吉宗との間に生まれた娘だったのだ。しかし、世の中の醜い権力争いに阻まれ、父との対面もままならない。そこで、薄雲は蘭方医の青砥藤一郎、金髪の怪盗・菊之介、愛猫・虎徹と共に大盗団「菊組」を結成する。一方、将軍の落とし胤である薄雲を狙う謎の集団「伊賀四天狗」のひとり・残月が姿を現し!?。The subtitle of Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet’s first feature, from 1965, “Only Violence Helps Where Violence Reigns,” suggests the fierce political program evoked by their rigorous aesthetic. The pretext of the film, set in Cologne, is Heinrich Böll’s novel “Billiards at Half Past Nine,” which they strip down to a handful of stark events and film with a confrontational angularity akin to Bartók’s music that adorns the soundtrack. The subtlest of cues accompany the story’s complex flashbacks. The middle-aged Robert Fähmel tells a young hotel bellhop of persecutions under the Third Reich| his elderly father, Heinrich, an architect famed for a local abbey, recalls the militarism of the First World War, when his wife, Johanna, incurred trouble for insulting the Kaiser. A third-generation Fähmel is considering architecture, just as the exiled brother of Robert’s late wife, returns, only to be met by their former torturer, now a West German official taking part in a celebratory parade of war veterans. Straub and Huillet make the layers of history live in the present tense, which they judge severely. The tamped-down acting and the spare, tense visual rhetoric suggest a state of moral crisis as well as the response—as much in style as in substance—that it demands.。
